Royal3D at Metstrade 2025!

We’re proud to share that Royal3D will be exhibiting at Metstrade 2025 in RAI Amsterdam, the world’s largest trade event for the leisure marine industry. This year, we’re contributing in a special way by designing and 3D printing the DAME Design Awards and Boat Builders Awards 2025 trophies.

For the DAME Design Awards trophy, our design draws inspiration from the sail - symbolizing maritime elegance and the freedom of sailing. It’s crafted from recycled thermoplastic and repurposed wood from interior refit projects.

For the Boat Builders Awards trophy, we looked to the architectural style of Carlo Scarpa, interpreting the idea of individual blocks forming one vessel. This piece combines recycled PETG and SLA resin materials.

Alongside the trophies, we’ll be showcasing our 3D-printed USV at the Next Gen Zone. The aquatic drone integrates 3D printing, AI and advanced electronics to enhance safety for both humans and marine life - a true example of how additive manufacturing supports next-generation maritime systems.

Our work for Metstrade 2025 reflects our continued commitment to innovation, sustainability and design excellence. At Royal3D, we believe that large-scale additive manufacturing can transform how we think about materials and production and across industries, including the maritime sector.
