Royal3D sponsors Fontys student team for GLOW Eindhoven

News

At Royal3D, we believe that the greatest ideas often begin in the classroom. That’s why we are deeply committed to working closely with universities and supporting students as they turn their concepts into reality. By connecting education, technology, and 3D printing, we aim to empower the next generation of designers, engineers, and creators.

Our latest collaboration highlights this vision perfectly. We are proud to partner with the talented student team from Fontys University of Applied Sciences on their ambitious project, “Garden of Flowers,” which is being featured during GLOW Eindhoven from 8 to 15 November.

The students designed a series of illuminated flowers that combine art, technology, and nature-inspired design. Each flower tells a story about growth, connection, and the power of light to bring people together.

To help bring their vision to life, Royal3D is contributing our expertise in large-scale 3D printing. Our team will be 3D printing transparent petals, specially designed to capture and diffuse light in unique ways. These petals will form a vital part of the installation, showcasing how advanced manufacturing techniques can be used to create stunning visual effects and sustainable art.

This partnership embodies what Royal3D stands for: innovation through collaboration. By supporting student initiatives like this, we not only invest in the future of design and engineering but also demonstrate how 3D printing can bridge the gap between artistic vision and technical execution.

It was great seeing the “Garden of Flowers” come to life during GLOW Eindhoven and we are proud to have played a role in inspiring the next generation of creators. Good luck to the Fontys student team!
