Eurovision Microphone

The entire structure of the Eurovision Microphone was 3D printed using 100% recycled PET-G, sourced directly from the waterways of Rotterdam. This approach not only highlighted the potential of circular design but also showcased the power of local material recovery - transforming plastic waste into a symbol of unity and cultural celebration.

Despite the sustainable origin of the material, the finished model was incredibly strong, rigid, and durable, exemplifying the high performance that 3D printing can achieve - even on a large scale. The trophy stood in front of Rotterdam Centraal as a testament to the precision, creativity, and environmental responsibility that define Royal3D’s work.

This project remains a proud example of how advanced manufacturing and sustainability can intersect to create lasting, meaningful impact on both the environment and the cultural landscape. It can now be seen in Rotterdam Ahoy.
