Sustainability

At Royal3D, we are committed to reaching the best circular approach technically possible. By designing for efficient use of materials during production, and prioritizing the use of recycled and recyclable materials, thus reducing waste and environmental impact. At Royal3D, we strive to use regrind materials as much as possible, while maintaining strength, durability, and quality. Moreover, in 2020 we added solar panels on our rooftop, which allows us to reduce the energy we use when printing and further decrease our environmental footprint.

How it works
Failed (test) prints, suitable production waste, or prints that have served their purpose, can be returned and recycled back into new materials and projects. By reusing materials and reducing dependency on virgin plastics, we tackle resource scarcity and minimize our environmental footprint. Combining recycled materials with new, makes it technically possible and approriate to recycle multiple times.

Close circle economy
With these methods we ensure that every product is part of a long(er) lifecycle - ideally a closed-loop system - contributing to the cradle-to-cradle philosophy for sustainable innovation and production.

Royal3D’s printing process is powered in part by solar energy, reducing environmental impact.

Our recycling facility
By recycling production waste and repurposing external plastic materials, we minimize environmental impact while ensuring a sustainable supply chain. This approach reduces landfill waste and supports energy-efficient manufacturing, reinforcing our commitment to a greener future. Through continuous innovation, we are proving that advanced technology and environmental responsibility can go hand in hand.

Royal3D minimizes environmental impact by recycling production waste in-house.
